von Haam has served as the Executive Director of the Wake County Bar
Association and Tenth Judicial District Bar since 2010, where she is responsible for the organizations' consistent achievement of their missions and financial objectives. Prior
to that, she served for 10 years as the Membership Director of the
North Carolina Bar Association. Whitney is President-elect of the
National Association of Bar Executives (NABE), and has previously served
as Treasurer,Board member and chaired NABE’s program committee, small
bar conference and membership committee. She
is a graduate of Wellesley College with degrees in English and Art
History, and earned a Master's degree in Mass Communication from the
University of Georgia. Whitney is very active in the Raleigh community, having served in leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations. She is a past president and board member of the Junior League of Raleigh; past president and board member of SAFEChild; troop leader and board development committee member for Girl Scouts of the North Carolina Coastal Pines , among others. She enjoys listening to a good book, exploring her foodie sensibilities, and is an avid world traveler. She lives in Raleigh with her three children and two cats, Edelweiss and Roary. Amy DavisCommunications Manageramy@wakecountybar.org | 919-630-2908 Amy Davis joined the Wake County Bar Association and Tenth Judicial District in 2023 as Communications Manager after more than a decade in television news and public relations. Specializing in writing, video production and social media, Amy earned her BA in Media Studies/Communications from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a contributor to WRAL-TV's Go Ask Mom column. A Triangle native, Amy is active in her community as a member of the Junior League of Raleigh. She is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys teaching classes for FIT4MOM Midtown Raleigh. Her favorite thing to do is travel with her husband Greyson and their three children. Amy serves as the staff liaison for the Young Lawyers Division and the following committees: Professionalism | Public Service Stephanie PerryOffice Manager, Events & Grievance Coordinatorstephanie@wakecountybar.org | 919-657-1573 Our resident local, Stephanie Perry is a die-hard Tarheel who hails from Durham. Stephanie began her bar career in the Sections & Divisions area of the North Carolina Bar Association and has been on staff with the Wake County Bar Association and Tenth Judicial District Bar since 2011. As the office manager, Stephanie is the backbone of both organizations, handling the logistics of our events, day-to-day office needs, and grievances. She is the proud mother of two adult children and fur baby Lily, the staff’s favorite canine coworker. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband Ted, the quiet solitude of gardening, and fishing. Stephanie serves as the staff liaison for the Board of Directors and the following committees: Bar Awards | Bar Candidate Interview | Bench Bar | Branch Professionalism Award | Foundation Steering Committee | Grievance | Nominations | Sponsorship | Strategic Planning Nathaniel AdcockMembership Coordinatornathaniel@wakecountybar.org | 919-659-1441 Nathaniel Adcock joins the Wake County Bar Association and Tenth Judicial District Bar as Membership Coordinator following five years as a manager and chef for beloved Raleigh eateries. Bringing a passion for mission-driven, impactful nonprofit work, he manages the database for both institutions and is excited to support the local legal and judicial community. Originally from Oxford, NC, Nathaniel holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Appalachian State University and Louisiana State University. He enjoys trail running, surf fishing and cooking with fire. He, his wife Madison, and their rescue dog Frisco frequently can't be found camping, canoeing, and hiking in North Carolina’s wild places. CLE Coordinator
Sandy joined the WCBA staff after spending the past 10 years at home raising her two energetic, spirited children, substitute teaching for the WCPSS and working as a pro-bono special needs school and parent advocate. A graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Tufts University, Sandy spent five years at the Kings County District Attorney’s office as an Assistant District Attorney before moving to North Carolina. Sandy is an ultra extrovert who loves concerts, musical theater, pub trivia and travel. She has three rules for herself in life: love hard, try anything twice and *always* go to the concert. Sandy serves as the staff liaison for the CLE Committee. Shari HardyAccounting CoordinatorShari joined the team in October 2019 after 11 years as the Staff Accountant for the North Carolina Bar Association. She is a veteran of the US Navy and also served under the Secretary of the Senate as the Senate Gift Shop Accountant. Shari is from Long Island, NY and graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a BS in Biology. She has been involved with the Girl Scouts and enjoys exploring new coffee shops and trying new recipes with her daughter, spending time with family, being at the beach, and curling up with a good book. |
