Candidates for the Election to Select Nominees for
District Court Judge Position

February 15, 2019


A special election of the Tenth Judicial District Bar will be heldFriday, February 15from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wake County Justice Center, Courtroom 102. The purpose of this election is to select five nominees whose names will be forwarded to Governor Roy Cooper for consideration for the District Court Judge position in District 10B resulting from Judge Craig Croom’s appointment to a Special Superior Court seat.

Each member of the Tenth Judicial District Bar who resides in Wake County is entitled to vote for up to five candidates, but may not cumulate votes on the same ballot.Voting shall be limited to those attorneys licensed to practice in North Carolina, who reside in Wake County and are members in good standing of the Tenth Judicial District Bar perNCGS §84-16. There is no absentee ballot available.
