Candidates for the Election to Select Nominees for 
District Court Judge Position
July 12

A special election of the Tenth Judicial District Bar will be held Thursday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wake County Justice Center, Courtroom 102. The purpose of this election is to select five nominees whose names will be forwarded to Governor Roy Cooper for consideration for the District Court Judge position resulting from Judge Keith Gregory’s move to Superior Court. 

Each member of the Tenth Judicial District Bar who resides in Wake County is entitled to vote for up to five candidates, but may not cumulate votes on the same ballot. Voting shall be limited to those attorneys licensed to practice in North Carolina, who reside in Wake County and are members in good standing of the Tenth Judicial District Bar per NCGS §84-16. There is no absentee ballot available.
