She shares more on the grievance process, Mediated Settlement Conferences (MSC) and The Rules for Settlement Procedures in District Court Family Financial Cases (FFS). Panelists and Certified Mediators Nancy L. Grace, Helen O’Shaughnessy and Gabriel Jimenez join Tara to discuss ethical situations encountered by practicing certified mediators, both real-world situations and hypotheticals. Learn best practices for handling those situations under the rules and standards of the DRC.

Kozlowski is the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Commission (DRC) and a NCDRC Certified Superior Court Mediator. Originally from Indiana where she graduated with a B.S. in chemistry from Indiana University, she received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Toledo, College of Law in 2006. Before joining the DRC, Kozlowski was in private practice focusing on family law litigation in Wake County. She describes herself as being passionate about alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Nancy L. Grace is a partner at Wake Family Law Group and a NCDRC Certified Superior Court Mediator. She is also board-certified Specialist in Family Law with extensive legal experience including serving on the Board of Directors for the Wake County Bar Association and Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District. Helen O’Shaughnessy is a partner at Wake Family Law Group, a board-certified Specialist in Family Law, and a NCDRC Certified Superior Court Mediator. Since 2006, she has been a certified Family Financial Mediator and Parenting Coordinator, and she volunteers with The Child’s Advocate to support children in high-conflict custody cases. Gabriel Jimenez is a founding partner at Jimenez Law Group, and a NCDRC Certified Superior Court Mediator. With over 25 years of experience in workers' compensation, negligence, and construction litigation, has transitioned from representing insurance companies to advocating for injured parties in his own practice. Gabe has served on the N.C. Bar Association Board of Governors, the N.C. Equal Access to Justice Commission, and various Wake County Bar committees, and has taught as an Adjunct Professor at UNC Chapel Hill School of Law.
