The YLD Summer Clerk program is excited to expand this year with two local service opportunities for summer clerks on Friday, June 28. The Summer Clerk Day of Service at Raleigh City Farm and The Green Chair Project give summer clerks an outlet to connect with each other and those in need in Wake County. Please encourage your clerks to register for one of these great options!
Raleigh City Farm | 8 - 10 a.m. (50 volunteers)
Volunteers will work outdoors in the community garden at Raleigh City Farm, a nonprofit urban farm located in downtown Raleigh. Raleigh City Farm aims to connect members of the Raleigh community by promoting healthy food production, supporting entrepreneurship and strengthening civic engagement.
The Green Chair Project | 1 - 3 p.m. (25 volunteers)
The Green Chair Project is a Raleigh nonprofit organization which uses household furnishings to renew the lives of those recovering after homelessness, crisis and disaster. Volunteer activities may include organizing the client showroom, processing and sorting donations, and cleaning, repairing and painting furniture.
If you have any questions, please contact Connor Crews (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Kendra Stark (email@example.com).
