Our breakfast discussion series continues with another great program at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at Campbell Law School (225 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh). Daniel Bowes of the NC Justice Center will present "Second Chance Driving: Restoring Driver’s Licenses by Eliminating Traffic Court Debt." This course will cover the Second Chance Mobility Project’s work on restoring driver’s licenses by eliminating traffic court debt, including court costs and the barriers to waiving them; automatic and indefinite driver’s license revocations for failure to pay court fees and the impact it has on people and their families; collaborative measures to increase access to relief; and ways for attorneys to identify common license suspensions. Breakfast is free for all Tenth Judicial District and WCBA members. One hour of general CLE credit is pending, and is free for WCBA members and $35 for non-members.
