A program of the CJCP. The Professionalism Support Initiative (PSI) is a program of the Chief Justice's Commission on Professionalism which is implemented in Wake County by the Wake County Bar Association. PSI complaints can be filed with the Wake County Bar Association, the NC State Bar, the Judicial Standards Commission, or the Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism.

The Professionalism Support Initiative (PSI) is a confidential voluntary lawyer and judge assistance program that handles client-lawyer, lawyer-lawyer, and lawyer-judge issues. The purpose of PSI is to promote professionalism and thereby bolster public confidence in the legal profession. PSI uses local Wake County Bar Association volunteer peers to communicate privately and informally with lawyers and judges who receive repeated complaints that do not rise to the level of ethics or professional responsibility violations. Volunteers are usually colleagues and respected members of the Wake County Bar who meet confidentially with the lawyer or judge in order to discuss the professionalism issues at hand, mediate situations, or when necessary, make a referral to an appropriate assistance-based agency.
